Ladybugs

One of Jacobs closest friends, ( not quite sure that is what guys call their buds but I am not a guy) has recently started a new hobby and it has to do with garden ornaments or garden art I think is what he calls it (again, a guy thing). Anyway he sent Lily 2 little ladybugs for her to paint and paint them she did. Actually Jacob did one and she did the other and I bet you can't tell which one was hers....wink wink Kick. She used special paint that is weather proof and now they are outside with Poki Homoki the frog.Yes I know Poki Homoki is freakish but he belonged to my friend Nancy and he has history to go with his freakishness. Thank you Bucko so much Lily loves her ladybugs.

Thanks for all the q's regarding my father, he is doing OK at this point. I spoke to him yesterday and he promised to behave and be a good patient.(yeah right) He is in good hands because the cousin that stayed with me at Christmas and her mum are both nurses so he can't get away with to much cos we send in the cavalry and then act dumb as if we have no idea why they went to see him. Of course he reads this so now I am in deep doo doo.

Boys Boys and More Boys

Yesterday afternoon we went over to my friends house cos her folks are in town and they havent seen Lily, before! It is just one of those things and everytime they come to town we are either away, Lily is sick, her kids are sick, the Gods are not happy and so it goes. Ames has 2 boys and these boys and Lily are bestest friends and we hope and have an odd feeling that it will stay this way. When we showed up yesterday much to Lily's horror there were some imposters there, 2 extra boys. Lilys wasnt sure what to make of it all but she weighed the situation and decided it was better to play with everyone than to sit sadly on the bedroom floor by herself. So she threw herself into the thick of things and played her heart out.........doing boy things. Shhhh dont tell anyone! She cracks me up she is the biggest tomboy ever but the thought of playing with 2 new boys puts her in a tail spin cos they are boys!

Finally, A Pet For Lily.

Yes, you read that correctly, shocking isn't it?

It probably isn't what you would consider a pet but Lily is over the moon and all happy with herself and the credit goes to my dear friend Despo and her whacky gift giving knack. I received a voice message at 8.20 this morning from her but me being me never actually turned my phone on until 9.40! She said that we had to meet up today because Lilys Christmas gift had arrived at her house and it couldn't wait. I had a hectic day today and things weren't looking good for meeting up so she told me what it was and how this thing would die if Lily didn't get it today. Well, that is the kind of guilt trip I can do without so we drove over to her house after school so that Lily could receive her first ever pet, a froglet! I kept Lily in the dark and Despo's boys met us in the driveway all excited to see Lily and give her, her Froglet.

I have no idea what this container is for but the boys are giddy so I am too!

After the excitement died down to a normal Lily level we drove home in hideous rush hour traffic and Lily watched over her 4 little froglets and I am happy to say they made it home OK with no evidence of motion sickness. She wanted very badly to have them in her bedroom so that they wouldnt be lonely while they slept but I managed to talk her out of it. As for Despo, yes, she is still a friend but yucky nasty froglets.....what was she thinking? She has some too and her boys are just as giddy as Lily is over them. She pulled me aside as we were leaving and said, someone told me they dont live very long. Oh great, I hope she tells Lily this!

These are special little tadpoles that grow into "froglets" and they stay in the water and dont grow very big. They came complete in this little kit with all the food and everything. It is actually rather clever but never the less the are a tad creepy as they are see thru, which of course my kid thinks is wonderful and she has already taken a magnifying glass to the poor little guys!
