She then said that I must have really wanted her and love her so so much.
I do.
She then said I must love her more than if I had "just" got pregnant because I worked so hard to get her.
I don't know the answer to that and told her so but I told her I think I couldn't love her anymore if I tried.
She then thanked me for adopting her.
Really, she did.
Just when I think I couldn't love her anymore, not even if my life depended on it she says something like that and she eeks out just a little bit more.

How wonderful for you! I know this is my biggest fear is that our soon to be new daughter will wish that she hadn't have been adopted. I hope she will feel the same way as Lily. Such a strange place to be in! I know it is going to be very emotional from here on out. So strange to think that someome give up their child. I have 4 biological children and can't even imagine ever giving them up. On the other hand, it must take a ton of courage to do so when you know you can't keep them. I am glad Lily appreciates the love you have for her and all that you have done to bring her into your life.
Reading this just put a big smile on my face. Thank you... I needed it. She is such a precious little girl. Yes, I know she's not exactly little but as a fellow mommy of a 10 yr old, they will always be our little girls. :-)

That is so sweeter...sweeter yet that you have a great relationship with her.

awwwww...sweet girl. What a precious conversation! I am sure that must have had you all teary, I know it would me!
As always...tears of joy, love and amazement. You and your girls are so very special...I hope we do such a wonderful job raising our girl...I think we are on the right track. You are an inspiration (even if the fortune cookies were store bought!!) Love, Nana
These are the moments us Moms treasure the most... love, love, love!!!
What a sweet precious blessing. Both you girls are to you and you to them.
God bless
Warms my heart. What a sweet girl. What an awesome mom. :)
I think that our girls are simply amazing. Perhaps I am more than a bit biased, but that's the way I roll.
Erin also realizes that adoption is hard work. She is pretty close to where Lily is at when talking about what is involved.
Great way to handle this precious moment!
