Our Equestrian.

I really wasn't very enthusiastic when Lily decided she wanted to ride horses, downright unenthusiastic would be more like it. If I am perfectly honest I still hope that she will find another pastime that she will replace riding with but frankly, I don't see it happening. Lily knows that I am wary of horses and won't ride again, I did when I was younger but never with joie de vivre that she expresses. I don't talk her into, or, out of, her passion but I do support her.

Riding is in her soul as much as it pains me to admit it she is a natural. For one so young she is very advanced and today she proved to me, and many others just how advanced. She is one of the most advanced riders at the academy and also one of the youngest, As of this month she has been riding for 2 years and amazes people on a daily basis who see her ride. As I am not a rider I cannot put my finger on it but people who do, "see it" and they know and they comment, all. the. time.

Watch this! It is called, Join Up and Follow. She absolutely amazed me. Truly I was proud of her, oh so proud.

After that it was time for some fun. I give you the 3 Amigo's
( Lily wanted to know if she could kick! Hence the comment about testing the waters.)

An odd way to dismount!

For a really long time Lily has been desperate to try riding bare back. She rides without stirrups all the time but she wants to up the anti and go all the way, so to speak. It is no easy feat riding with no saddle but today was her turn to try. Honestly you would have thought she had been doing it for years!

The 3 amigos again. Rosie just has to squeeze her way into the action

Drinking on the job
Loving it!

So flipping cool

Lily and Lindsey...double trouble

I just put this one in cos I love it. ♥

Dawn... you must be so proud of her. She really has an amazing way with horses. One question. How in the world does she do it in this heat? I can't even imagine going outside with jeans on and then riding a horse. That's what you call devotion. :-)
