The girls won't argue however that the day ended perfectly. Grandpa needed some water pumped out of one of the ponds at his private fishery, and pumped into one of the bigger ponds because the levels were too low. This would prove to be really difficult for most people but not when Grandpa is "Grandpa". He made a phonecall and right before our eyes the local fire department jumped into a firetruck and we followed them up to the lake and they took care of business whilst we acted the fool.
It is so beautiful there and so peaceful even with the hum of the mighty fire engine. All of us had such a lovely time.

Love this photo
Love this one even more. What a great family I have.
Lily figured out a couple of years ago that Grandpa has some clout but after tonight I think she believes he just might be Santa Claus because she asked me, Does Grandpa know everyone ? Not quite everyone Sweetheart but almost everyone.
So after some serious thought I don't think I am coming back. I just want to stay here and raise my girls in this simpler, near perfect life.

It must be so hard for you to return home. It does seem so much simpler where you are right now. I don't blame you one bit for thinking that way. I often think about picking up and moving to a small town in Italy. Wine, food and quiet.... sounds so inviting. ;-)
oh, how wonderful! Love the gorgeous pics of you all.
