I hope it snows

I have not been home for Christmas in many, many years and I have to say that as much as I am used to not spending it with my family one thing that I will never get used to is hot weather on December 25th. That people, is just downright wrong. Each year I tell the girls that we should go somewhere cold that they need to experience a cold weather Christmas but it has never happened.

A couple of weeks ago I got on a kick where I decided I wanted to go to New York City and see the tree and Rockafeller Center, show the girls the windows etc etc. When I mentioned on Facebook my plan someone suggested Radio City Music Hall. Something happened yesterday that just sealed the deal in my head and today I made it happen.

The girls and I are heading to New York City  for one madcap, crazy action packed day. We leave here on a 6am flight and return late at night on the same day. We are packing so much into that one day and I can't begin to tell you how excited we are. The only thing I cannot control is the weather and I would love love love for it to snow. Not heavy, mind blowing snow just flurries would be fine. Heck I'll take a blizzard but I just want them to see snowflakes falling from the sky.

I can't wait and neither can they. NYC here we come. It's not quite a cold Christmas but it will give them the feeling of the holidays in a place that knows how to do it right. And I have a little surprise in store for them courtesy of their grandparents, that will knock them off of their feet.

Well, it's back to reality for now and I need to go and lock Norman in my car for the night so that he can drive the girls to school in the morning!

That is so exciting! I have always wanted to do that too, but my hubby thinks it is silly. One of these days I am going to make it happen.
