We came home this evening after a day out and received a phonecall from home telling us that Nanny Rene had fallen over yesterday and had broken her hip. It has been snowing over there and she slipped on some slushy stuff going down a step. Nanny Rene is the sweetest lady alive and is in hospital in England having just had hip replacement surgery earlier today. She is the one who is busy knitting the blankets for us to take to China with is for all the little babies left behind in the orphanages.
Jeanne said she will be fine but right now she is really hurting but won't complain. What a trooper, she is nearly 86 .
